Frequently
Asked Questions
Q: How long does the jerky last? A: The beef has a one year shelf life. The turkey and wild game has a 6 to 8 month shelf life.
Q: How do I take care of the jerky? A: Because the Beef is so dry, all you have to do is reseal it after opening, and keep it out of the sun. The Hickory Smoked Buffalo and Elk, after you open it, can be put in a zip lock bag and left out for a couple of days, then refrigerate it. The Turkey, Soft Elk, Spicy Elk, Antelope and Venison are moist. It's best to put in zip lock bag and refrigerate them after opening.
Q: Did you shoot the elk? A: No, all of our big game meat (buffalo, elk, antelope, venison and turkey) are all farm raised like the beef. Every animal is USDA inspected.
Q: Why is the big game jerky so much more expensive than beef? A: Because the animals are farm raised, the meat is more expensive. If were buying elk meat in the stores, you would pay more than beef. So basically you are paying for the meat.

The Big Game animals are all Farm Raised and are FREE RANGED. The animals are Hormones free and no growth injected. They do not spray their fields with pesticide, so it's as natural as you can get. They all eat grass, depending on the ranchers, some will feed a little hay, corn, oats or alfalfa.
